Mirziyoyev and Tokayev launch $1.2 billion projects

Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan Presidents Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev today, on November 15, took part in a ceremony to launch joint projects via videoconference at the Kuksaroy residence in Tashkent. The press services of both leaders reported the news.

Seven projects worth a total of $1.2 billion had been prepared for launch in the fields of industry, construction, oil and gas chemistry, finance, logistics, and tourism.

By pressing a symbolic button, the presidents inaugurated the ’’Central Asia’’ International Industrial Cooperation Center located in the Syrdarya and Turkestan regions, the head office of ’’Tenge Bank’’ in Tashkent, the construction of a multi-purpose logistics center in Tashkent region, the ’’Astana’’ residential complex in New Tashkent, a linear alkylbenzene production complex in Kashkadarya region, the “Astana” hotel in New Tashkent, and the “Tashkent” hotel in the Kazakh capital.

It is worth noting that yesterday, November 14, at the invitation of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, arrived in Tashkent on a state visit. He became the first foreign head of state to land at the new ’’Tashkent-Humo’’ airport. Tokayev was greeted with an official welcoming ceremony at the airport. The heads of state held a conversation there. Today, on November 15, at the Kuksaroy residence, the Presidents of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, held a restricted-format meeting.
