Mirziyoyev and Pezeshkian exchange congratulations

In a telephone conversation today, April 1, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian sincerely congratulated each other and the peoples of their countries on the spring holiday of Nowruz and the blessed holiday of Eid al-Fitr. They wished peace and prosperity to both nations, according to the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.  

The discussion focused on the implementation of the adopted "road map" for the further development of multifaceted Uzbek-Iranian relations. Urgent issues related to bilateral cooperation were reviewed in detail.  

The leaders expressed satisfaction with the ongoing active dialogues and visits at various levels.  

"Indicators of mutual trade and cargo transportation are rising, the number of joint ventures is growing, and regular direct flights between the capitals are being conducted. Additionally, business, cultural, and humanitarian exchanges are expanding," the statement said.  

Particular attention was given to supporting and accelerating joint projects in key sectors, including the chemical and petrochemical industries, textiles, food production, agriculture, and construction materials.  

The importance of effectively organizing the upcoming Intergovernmental Commission meeting, business forum, and industrial exhibition in Tehran was emphasized.  

Mirziyoyev and Pezeshkian also exchanged views on international and regional matters of mutual interest.
