The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of the Republic of Italy, Sergio Mattarella, participated in a tree-planting ceremony within the framework of the Uzbekistan-Italy summit program. This was reported by the President's press service.


It was stated that on November 10, the heads of state planted a tree together in the Alley of Honored Guests at the Koksaroy residence.


"This will be a symbol of the strengthening of the traditional friendly relations between our peoples and the expansion of multifaceted cooperation and strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Italy," the report said.


We remind you that on November 9, the President of the Republic of Italy, Sergio Mattarella, arrived in Uzbekistan with his daughter, Laura Mattarella. Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov welcomed them at Tashkent International Airport. Today, on the morning of November 10, Sergio and Laura Mattarella, accompanied by Abdulla Aripov, visited the New Uzbekistan park and laid flowers at the base of the Independence Monument. Later, an official welcoming ceremony for Italian President Sergio Mattarella was held at the Koksaroy residence. After the ceremony, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of the Republic of Italy, Sergio Mattarella, held bilateral talks at the Koksaroy residence. Following that, a Joint Statement aimed at further developing the strategic partnership and multilateral cooperation between the two countries was adopted.
