Today 21 October, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov ceremonially opened the park "Tashkent" in Ashgabat.

On 17 February 2021, the then President of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, announced the establishment of the "Tashkent" park in Ashgabat during a meeting with the then Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Abdulaziz Kamilov.

"Tashkent" recreational park is located in the historical center of Ashgabat - on the site of the former "Gunesh" park, along Makhtumkuli avenue.  This place is very beautiful, crowded, and full of green spaces.  On its territory there are the buildings of the Cabinet of Ministers, circus, and drama theater.

21 million 150 thousand manats ($6.43 million) were allocated from the budget of Turkmenistan for the construction of the park.  A landscape consisting of green fields, flower beds, and corridors was built on an area of approximately 28,600 square meters, and more than 20 objects with miniature copies of the sights of the capital of Uzbekistan were built.

Here you can find "Independence" square in Tashkent, Oloy market, Tashkent TV tower, and many other Uzbek layouts and decorations.  In general, all the atmosphere is created in the park so that a person feels as if he is walking in Tashkent.
