Mirziyoyev holds talks with Tokayev  

Today, March 18, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The press service of the President reported this information.  

The two leaders sincerely congratulated each other on the blessed month of Ramadan and the upcoming spring holiday, Nawruz, wishing peace, prosperity, and well-being to the fraternal peoples of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.  

They also discussed urgent matters related to the further development and strengthening of the Uzbek-Kazakh strategic partnership and alliance.  

"The importance of coordinated measures to increase trade and promote practical cooperation in industrial production, transport, energy, agriculture, and other sectors, including at the regional level, was emphasized," the report stated.  

Additionally, the joint cultural and humanitarian events recently held in Kazakh cities were highly appreciated.  

The leaders also reviewed plans for upcoming high-level bilateral and multilateral events, including preparations for summits in the "Central Asia Plus" format.  

It is worth noting that on March 17, the ballet performance "Lazgi. Dance of the Heart" was staged at the Abay National Opera and Ballet Theater. Assistant to the President, Saida Mirziyoyeva, who was visiting Kazakhstan, attended the performance.
