Mirziyoyev meets with the President of Tajikistan

Today, on November 9, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, held talks with the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahman, within the framework of the Economic Cooperation Organization summit. This was reported by the Press Service of the President of Uzbekistan.


The heads of state discussed matters related to good neighborliness, strategic partnership, and the further strengthening of alliance relations between the two countries. It was emphasized that continuing coordinated efforts to increase mutual trade and promote cooperation projects in engineering, energy, electrical engineering, textiles, and other sectors is of paramount importance, including within the framework of the Intergovernmental Commission.


Special attention was given to expanding business relations and fostering cultural and humanitarian exchanges between the regions.


The leaders of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan also discussed plans for future events.


It is worth noting that the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahman, came to Uzbekistan to participate in the next summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization.
