Mirziyoyev awards Chairman of the Judges Association with honorary title

By decree of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the Chairman of the Judges Association of Uzbekistan, Ubaydulla Kurbanovich Mingboyev, has been awarded the honorary title of “Distinguished Youth Mentor of the Republic of Uzbekistan.” The press service of the President reported this announcement.

The title was conferred upon Ubaydulla Mingboyev in recognition of his extensive contributions to state governance, strengthening the nation’s independence, and advancing the judicial and legal systems in Uzbekistan. His efforts in promoting reforms, upholding legality in society, administering justice with integrity, and protecting citizens' rights and interests were highlighted. Additionally, his exemplary role in training highly qualified personnel and instilling a sense of patriotism and respect for universal values in the younger generation were commended. This recognition also coincides with the celebration of his 90th birthday.

Ubaydulla Mingboyev was born in 1939 in Denov district, Surkhandarya region. His career in public service began in 1968 when he was appointed chief investigator of the Surkhandarya regional Department of Internal Affairs. The following year, he assumed the role of chief investigator of the Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

In 1971, Mingboyev became a judge of the Surkhandarya regional court, advancing to deputy chairman of the same court in 1972. By 1975, he was elected a judge of the Supreme Court of Uzbekistan. From 1978 to 1987, he served as chairman of the Bukhara regional court before returning to the Supreme Court as a judge. In March 1990, he was elected chairman of the Tashkent City Court, and on June 12, 1991, he ascended to the role of chairman of the Supreme Court.

The recognition of Ubaydulla Mingboyev’s achievements underscores his significant contributions to the development of Uzbekistan’s legal and judicial landscape. His legacy serves as an inspiration for future generations dedicated to justice, governance, and the betterment of society.
