Mirziyoyev discussed the strategic project with Sharif

Within the framework of the summit of the council on Cooperation and Trust Measures in Asia, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held talks with the delegation led by the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahboz Sharif.

Following the previously reached agreements, the issues of expanding practical cooperation between the two countries were discussed.

The leaders of Uzbekistan and Pakistan noted the importance of effective use of the existing potential and wide opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation in the trade economy, investment, innovation, transport-communication, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

Prospects for the implementation of the strategic project on the construction of the "Termiz - Mazari-Sharif - Kabul - Peshawar" railway were discussed in detail to support the peace process and socio-economic recovery in Afghanistan.
