President Mirziyoyev departs for Saudi Arabia

2668Today, November 11, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan embarked on a business visit to Saudi Arabia at the invitation of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. The president's press service confirmed this information.
During his visit, President Mirziyoyev is set to attend an extraordinary Arab-Islamic summit in Riyadh, where discussions will focus on the escalating conflict in Gaza and Lebanon, as well as measures to address the crisis and explore solutions to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
Following this, on November 12-13, the President will participate in the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Climate Change Convention (COP29) at the invitation of Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev.
Earlier, it was announced that President Mirziyoyev would participate in international summits in Saudi Arabia and Azerbaijan from November 11-13.
