On February 28, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a Russian delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin. The meeting was reported by the presidential press service.

At the beginning of the meeting, Marat Khusnullin conveyed greetings and best wishes from Russian President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

Discussions focused on the implementation of agreements reached during President Putin's state visit to Uzbekistan in May last year. The two sides considered ways to expand mutually beneficial cooperation, particularly in construction and regional development.

Special attention was given to large-scale cooperation in the construction sector. Key projects include the design and construction of infrastructure facilities within regional socio-economic development programs, with the involvement of companies from both countries. The supply of construction materials and equipment was also discussed.

The importance of continued collaboration in participatory construction, design, expertise, digitization, and public procurement implementation was emphasized.
