President Mirziyoyev launches $3.6 billion development projects in Navoi

3596Today, on November 1, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, along with local representatives, attended a ceremony in the Navoi region to announce the launch of 15 major development projects.
The projects include the first phase of mining and processing combustible shale in the Konimekh district, the installation of a 300-megawatt solar photovoltaic power plant and a 75-megawatt electricity storage system in Karmana, technical gas production in Navoi, marble processing in Gazgon, granite processing in Zarafshan, kaolin mining in Uchkuduk, and fish feed production in Khatirchi.
Additionally, new facilities for processing potassium sulfate and sulfuric acid have been launched in Karmana, cotton pulp processing in Navoi, and granite processing in the Nurota district.
With a combined value of $3.6 billion, these projects are set to create over 7,000 jobs across the region. President Mirziyoyev symbolically inaugurated the projects by pressing a button, signaling the start of their construction and operations.
Earlier, Mirziyoyev visited the construction site of "Yangi Navoi" town, interacted with intellectuals, and visited the 22nd general education school in Navoi, engaging with students and teachers.
