Today, May 23, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev extended his congratulations to the graduates of the 2024–2025 academic year. His message was published by the presidential press service.

In his congratulatory address, President Mirziyoyev wished the graduates strength, success, and future achievements, emphasizing the hopes and dreams with which they approach the next chapter of their lives.

According to the presidential press service, more than 450,000 students are graduating this academic year from over 10,000 schools across the country. Among them, over 11,500 students are graduating with gold medals, while more than 2,000 are receiving silver medals.

“Dear graduates! In achieving the great goals we have set for ourselves, we rely on our educated, skilled, enterprising, and patriotic youth—individuals like you who are fully prepared to contribute to our nation's future,” the President's message reads.

President Mirziyoyev also expressed strong confidence in the graduating class, calling on them to live up to the expectations placed upon them.

“Your beloved school, your dedicated teachers and parents, and our entire nation expect good deeds and bright accomplishments from young people like you—those who believe in their own strength and determination. Always strive to be worthy of this high trust. Never tire of learning, exploring, and creating. May your first steps into independent life be successful, my dear sons and daughters!” his message concludes.

For reference, the final day of the current academic year is May 25. However, since that date falls on a Sunday, "Last Bell" ceremonies are scheduled for Saturday, May 24.

As previously reported, law enforcement officers and military personnel will be deployed to schools during the "Last Bell" events to ensure public safety.
