Mirziyoyev meets with a Chinese businessman

Today, on October 17, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, received the Chairman of the "Amer International" industrial holding, Van Venin, at the residence allocated to him as part of a practical visit to the city of Beijing. This was reported by the President's press service.

It is reported that the "Amer International" company considers Uzbekistan as the main direction of its business in the Central Asian region.

Amer International, one of China's leading conglomerates, deals with projects in the high-tech, electronics, semiconductor industry, mining, and processing industries. The company is included in the Fortune 500 global rating. It implements projects with a total value of more than 60 billion dollars in China and abroad.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev discussed with the Chairman of the company, Van Venin, promising projects for the deep processing of copper and the production of innovative and affordable products with higher added value, including electrical engineering, batteries for electric cars, microelectronics, and semiconductors.

An agreement was reached on the participation of the Chairman of "Amer International" in the activities of the Council of Foreign Investors, the opening of a regional office in Uzbekistan, and the adoption of a "road map" for the acceleration of joint innovative projects.
