Mirziyoyev holds a special meeting with Emomali Rahmon

On 21 July, the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the president of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon as part of the consultative meeting of the leaders of the Central Asian countries in Cholponota.

The issues of good neighborliness, strategic partnership and further strengthening of alliance relations on the basis of implementation of high-level projects agreed, were discussed at the meeting.

Particular attention was paid to the promotion of joint projects and development of practical cooperation in the fields of trade, industry, agriculture, energy, transport and logistics.

The presidents of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan also exchanged views on current regional issues.
