Mirziyoyev will participate in the SCO summit tomorrow

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will participate in the next meeting of the leaders of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in the form of a videoconference tomorrow, July 4, at the invitation of the Prime Minister of the Republic of India Narendra Modi.

It is said that, in accordance with the agenda of the summit, urgent issues of further strengthening of multilateral cooperation within the framework of the SCO, expansion and improvement of the organization’s activities will be considered.

At the end of the meeting, the leaders of the SCO countries are expected to make a number of decisions on economic cooperation, digital transformation, ensuring regional security, cultural and humanitarian spheres and other priority areas.

It should be noted that earlier the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov said at this summit that Iran will be fully admitted to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and a memorandum on the commitment of Belarus to become a member of the SCO is planned to be signed.
