Mirziyoyev extends birthday wishes to UAE President

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, in a telephone conversation held today, March 11, sincerely congratulated the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on his birthday. This was reported by the press service of the President.

The leader of Uzbekistan wished the President of the UAE good health, well-being, and great success in his state activities, as well as peace, tranquility, and prosperity to the friendly people of the Emirates. The heads of state also congratulated each other on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan for the entire Muslim community.

“It was emphasized that the visit of the President of Uzbekistan to the UAE in January of this year opened a new chapter in the history of bilateral relations, raising them to the level of strategic partnership. A separate ‘road map’ was adopted to implement the agreements reached,” the report says.

It is reported that the leaders noted with great satisfaction the rapid development of multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UAE, particularly in the trade, economic, and investment spheres. The volume of trade, investments, and the number of joint ventures are steadily increasing.

“Today, within the framework of a portfolio of projects worth $20 billion, active cooperation is underway with leading companies in the Emirates in important areas such as ‘green’ energy, digitalization, artificial intelligence, urban planning and infrastructure, tourism, and private business,” the report says.

The issues related to holding the second summit of the “Central Asia - Gulf Cooperation Council” dialogue in Samarkand were also discussed.

For reference, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan was born on March 11, 1961, in Al Ain. He is the third son of Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the first President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, and his third wife, Fatima bint Mubarak Al Ketbi. He has been ruling the country since 2022.
