Mirziyoyev returns to Tashkent from America

The practical visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to the USA has concluded. Speaking at the general political discussions of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the head of state highlighted the large-scale reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan and put forward a number of initiatives aimed at addressing the most urgent global and regional issues.

The first summit of the leaders of the Central Asian countries and the United States of America in the "C5+1" format was held. President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and President of the United States, Joseph Biden, discussed the current issues of interstate and regional cooperation at a bilateral meeting.

In addition, the head of Uzbekistan held talks with the President of the Council of Europe, Charles Michel; President of the Republic of Korea, Yoon Suk Yeol; Acting Prime Minister of Pakistan, Anwar Kakar; as well as leaders of influential international organizations - UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organization, Adjaye Banga, President of the World Bank Group, FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

The business program of the visit was also packed with events. A delegation of Uzbek business representatives led by Carolyn Lemm, Chairwoman of the Uzbek-American Chamber of Commerce, and large multinational companies and corporations - "Air Products," "Citigroup," "SNH," "Boston Consulting Group," "GE Healthcare," "Oppenheimer" - met with the leaders of "Cerberus" and "Cintana."

After the events of the visit program were completed, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev returned to Tashkent.
