President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will be in Kazan today, February 21, at the invitation of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, to participate in the opening ceremony of the "Future Games" competition. This was reported by the President's press service.

It is noted that a meeting between the leaders of the two countries is included in the program of the visit. Discussions will cover the implementation of high-level agreements reached at the end of the official visit to Russia on October 5-7, 2023, as well as the deepening of comprehensive strategic partnership relations.

For your information, the "Future Games," organized for the first time in the Russian Federation and held from February 21 to March 3, is a competition that combines traditional sports, scientific developments, and digital technologies. A total of 227 teams from 107 countries, including athletes from Uzbekistan, will participate in this major sports event.

It is worth mentioning that earlier it was announced that the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadir Japarov, will also attend Kazan to participate in this event.
