Fire breaks out near the Kalon Minaret in Bukhara (video)

On the night of August 19, a fire broke out in a kitchen near the historic Kalon Minaret in the city of Bukhara, Bukhara region. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

According to the ministry, at 00:45 the Fire Safety Department received a report of a fire on the second floor of a two-story kitchen located on Mustaqillik Street, in the “Zarafshon” neighborhood of Bukhara city. Five fire-rescue crews arrived at the scene at 00:49. The fire was contained at 00:53 and fully extinguished at 01:50.

The blaze damaged the roof of the kitchen, covering an area of about 100 square meters. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire and the extent of property damage are currently under investigation.

It is worth noting that earlier an explosion occurred at a gas filling station in Shorchi district of Surkhandarya region. No injuries or fatalities were reported in that incident.
