The powers of the National Guard are being expanded

 The powers of National Guard officers in the reviewing administrative offenses have been expanded.  In this regard, amendments were made to the Code of Administrative Responsibility through a Law signed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the 12th of May, which came into effect immediately.

According to the amendments, National Guard personnel have been granted additional authority to handle the following offenses:

• Petty hooliganism, including carrying cold weapons or objects that can be used as such.  
• Involving a minor in committing an administrative offense or engaging in antisocial behaviour.
• Considering administrative offenses such as public consumption of alcohol.  
• Drawing up reports and submitting them to the court for consideration are among the expanded powers.  

It is worth noting that the National Guard has been entrusted with specific responsibilities, including the ability to document administrative violations and handle related cases.
