The leaders of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States adopted the cooperation program in the field of deradicalization for 2025-2027, which was put forward by the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The document was developed by the base organization for the study of the problems of combating terrorism and other forms of extremism and the Counter-Terrorism Center of the CIS member states in order to implement the initiative of Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced at the summit held in December 2020.

The program aims to eliminate the causes and conditions that contribute to the emergence and spread of radicalism. Its main tasks are to develop the international legal basis of cooperation in this direction between the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States, to develop the practice of mutual cooperation, to provide information-analytical and scientific-methodical support for the activities of states in the field of radicalization.

"The most important direction of the Commonwealth's activities is to ensure security and law enforcement. Close cooperation between authorized bodies and specialized services plays an important role in this. In this context, I would like to highlight the cooperation program that we are accepting today in the field of de-radicalization prepared at the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Miromonovich Mirziyoyev. It is aimed at preventing the legalization of radical and extremist currents, establishing inter-confessional dialogue," Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the CIS summit.

Also, by the decision of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS, 2027 was declared the "Year of Legal Education" in the Commonwealth. This will contribute to raising the level of legal culture of the population, implementing a number of activities aimed at explaining their rights and obligations to citizens of the CIS countries, and forming a stable society based on respect for the law.

The heads of state also adopted a Declaration on the development of cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence for civil purposes. The document notes that artificial intelligence technologies are increasingly used in the main aspects of society and state life, and the importance of state control over the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies in various aspects of society and state life, infrastructure, and the importance of further improvement of digital technologies to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

We remind you that yesterday, on October 8, at the next meeting of the Council of Heads of State in Moscow, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev proposed to hold regular meetings of experts and analysts of the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States and to hold the next conference in the city of Samarkand dedicated to the development of artificial intelligence.
