Famous Kazakh actor Murat Bisembin passes away

Renowned Kazakh actor Murat Bisembin passed away on January 8 at the age of 54, according to local media reports.

In the autumn of 2024, Bisembin was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. In December 2025, the actor was hospitalized after suffering a stroke and remained under medical supervision thereafter.

Murat Bisembin was born on October 11, 1972, in Kyzylorda. He initially trained as an agricultural mechanical engineer before later graduating from the Almaty Academy of Arts.

He rose to widespread fame for his role as Ruslan in the film Racketeer. Uzbek audiences also recognized him primarily through this role.

Over the course of his career, the actor appeared in a total of 18 Kazakh films. His most notable works include Fist Fight, A Tale of the Pink Rabbit, Brother or Marriage 2, and Clinic 13.
