New deputy chairman of the Central Bank was appointed

5032Abror Mirzo Muhammadkosimovich Olimov has been appointed as the new Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan by presidential decree, according to the bank's press service.
Olimov will oversee several key areas, including international cooperation, currency regulation, management of international reserves, precious metals, and financial and economic activities. He will also manage the Central Bank’s operational functions and coordinate the work of the Republican Currency Exchange.
Prior to this appointment, Olimov served as the Director of the Currency Regulation and Balance of Payments Department at the Central Bank.
Born in 1988, Olimov graduated with a bachelor's degree from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy in 2010 and later earned a master's degree in 2012. In 2020, he completed a second master’s degree at Hitotsubashi University in Japan.
