Will the number of students in schools be reduced to 20?  The Ministry responded

News about the reduction of the number of students in one class to 20 in Uzbekistan schools, has spread on social networks.  The Ministry of Preschool and School Education reacted to the situation.

According to the relevant decision of the President, between 2022-2026, an order was given to create new capacities in the amount of 1.2 million student places due to the construction, reconstruction and perfect repair of general secondary educational institutions.

“Currently, the number of students in one class should not exceed 35, and we ask you not to spread false information,” the ministry said.

Also, the main forecast indicators of construction, reconstruction, perfect repair and equipment of general secondary educational institutions from 2022-2026 were approved by the decision.  It is planned to carry out construction, reconstruction and repair work in 2899 schools across the country.
