As the new week commences, schools across the region are preparing to hold the traditional "Last School Bell" (So'nggi qo'ng'iroq) ceremony. Rumors circulating on social media suggested that this cherished event might be canceled or restricted. However, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education has firmly refuted these claims.

According to the ministry, the circulating rumors are completely unfounded. The official schedule confirms that the last school bell ceremonies are set for May 24 (Saturday), as the final day of the current academic year falls on May 25 (Sunday), which is a public holiday. The ministry emphasized that the event is an integral part of the school calendar.

"It is a day filled with unforgettable moments for every student," the ministry explained. "For graduating Grade 11 students, this ceremony marks a momentous farewell to their long-time classmates, devoted teachers, and the school itself. It’s not only a time for saying goodbye to an environment of cherished memories but also a celebration of the joy and excitement of stepping into independent life, embracing new milestones, and savoring the spirit of youth. This day indeed turns into a true celebration."

The ministry added that the tradition of hosting the "Last School Bell" ceremony with festive spirit and high spirits will continue this year. In its statement, the ministry also urged all school communities, graduating students, and respected parents to adhere to the necessary safety protocols during the celebrations.
