Jomboy school incident: Mother breaks computer during dispute (video)

A recent incident at a school in Jomboy district, Samarqand region, has drawn public attention after a parent caused a disturbance and damaged school property. According to reports received by QALAMPIR.UZ, the mother of an 8th-grade student, visited the school on February 22 and engaged in a heated argument, ultimately smashing a computer.

The Regional Department of Preschool and School Education has since stated the matter. It was revealed that the student’s parents were summoned by the class teacher to discuss their child’s behavior and upbringing. During the meeting, the mother reacted aggressively when advised to pay closer attention to her child’s conduct, verbally abusing the teachers and acting violently.

Local law enforcement, including officers from the district’s Internal Affairs Department and the National Guard, were called to the scene. The case has been referred to court, and legal proceedings are currently underway.

This incident follows a previous case in Jomboy district where a kindergarten teacher was fined three times the base calculation amount for physically abusing children. The teacher’s employment contract was also terminated at their request.
