From the academic year 2022/2023, school uniforms will be fully introduced for pupils of state secondary schools in Uzbekistan.  This is stated in the relevant decision of the cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan.

According to the decision, from the academic year 2022/2023 special school uniforms for pupils of secondary schools will be fully introduced.  Earlier, it was planned to introduce them from the academic year 2024/2025.

Until 1 June 2022, the need for uniforms for the academic year 2022/2023 will be determined by regions.

School uniforms for children from low-income families will be purchased at the expense of the local budget and funds «Iron book», «Women’s notebook» and «Youth notebook».

In addition, from 10 August, 2022, in each district (city) sales points of school uniform producers will be organized.

It should be recalled that the common uniform for school pupils has been approved in a separate format and size for students of grades 1-6, and for students of grades 7-11.

Uniform suite for students in grades 1-6 includes the followings:

• white shirt (100% cotton);
• blue checkered waistcoat (65% cotton / 35% polystyrene);
• blue pants (for boys) (65% cotton / 35% polystyrene);
• blue checkered skirt (for girls) (65% cotton / 35% polystyrene);
• blue light jacket (65% cotton / 35% polystyrene).

Uniform suite for students in grades 7-11 includes the following:

• 1 white shirt (70% cotton / 30% polystyrene);
• 1 dark blue waistcoat (45% cotton / 55% polystyrene);
• 1 dark blue pants (for boys) (45% cotton / 55% polystyrene);
• 1 dark blue skirt (for girls) (45% cotton / 55% polystyrene);
• 1 dark blue jacket (45% cotton / 55% polystyrene).
