Macron hosts Mirziyoyev for high-level talks in Paris

4550On March 12, a formal welcoming ceremony was held at the Hôtel des Invalides in Paris for Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who is on a state visit to the French Republic. The President's press service reported this.
According to the report, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was welcomed by French President Emmanuel Macron.
In honor of the distinguished guest, an honorary guard of the French Republican Guard, including members of the army, navy, and air force, was lined up on the square.
“The national anthems of both countries were performed by a military orchestra. The guards marched ceremoniously in front of the head of state,” the report said.
The President of Uzbekistan, accompanied by mounted guards and motorcyclists, proceeded to the Élysée Palace, the official residence of the French President, for high-level negotiations.
It should be noted that earlier it was reported that Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Paris on a state visit at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron. At the airport, the leader of Uzbekistan was greeted by France’s Minister of National Education, Higher Education, and Research, former Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne, the commander of the Paris military district, General Loïc Mizon, and other officials. The main events of the visit are scheduled for March 12.
