A criminal case was initiated against the decision signed by the former governor of the Khojaabad district, Otabek Rasulov.  Andijan regional prosecutor's office announced this in its official statement in response to the news spread on social networks.

According to this, it was found that the requirements of the law were violated on the adoption of decisions related to the allocation of land areas in the Khojaabad district, including the decisions of the former district governor dated 30 March 2019, No. 656-k.  A criminal case has been initiated under paragraph "a".

"Preliminary investigations are currently being conducted by the Khojaabad district prosecutor's office in the criminal case," it was noted.

Also, the regional prosecutor's office said that the above illegal construction works were stopped and that according to the results of the investigation, a legal assessment will be made against the guilty persons.  However, the prosecutor's office informed QALAMPIR.UZ that it is too early to open a criminal case against the former mayor Otabek Rasulov.  It will be reported after the investigation is completed.

For information, at the beginning of September this year, Otabek Rasulov, who has been managing the Khojaabad district since 2018, was removed from his post.  This was caused by appeals to the President and several government agencies at the end of August from a group of deputies of the Council of People's Deputies of Khojaabad region who were dissatisfied with his actions.

Surprisingly, Otabek Rasulov, the former governor of Khojaabad district, was awarded the "Responsible Leader" badge introduced in Andijan exactly twice before he was released from his post.
