5502Another 14 trillion soums will be allocated for preparations for this year's autumn-winter season, supplementing the 14 trillion soums allocated last year. This announcement was made on June 10 during a video conference led by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, focusing on measures to ensure the efficient use of energy resources and the stable operation of energy sector facilities during the autumn-winter season.
Reports indicate that the actual conditions in each neighborhood were assessed, leading to the development of district-specific programs.
"Now, no one has the right to make excuses like 'time was short, funds were not available,'" the President emphasized to the officials.
It was highlighted that due to 250 emergency power outages in the regions since the start of the year, some consumers did not receive electricity. This issue was attributed to outdated electrical boxes and wires in some apartment buildings. Officials were instructed to address these deficiencies completely.
A goal was set to improve 30,000 kilometers of the network and 10,000 transformers by the end of the year, prioritizing the most challenging neighborhoods.
Additionally, it was emphasized that increasing coal production this year is essential for the stable operation of thermal power stations, meeting the needs of the population and the social sector, with a target of 8 million tons.
Furthermore, fuel oil and coal will be duty-free for two years. Revolving credits for coal imports will be available for three years.
Officials and governors were directed to deliver 1,200,000 tons of coal to the population and social sector shortly, with another 1,200,000 tons by the end of the year, and to create reserves of 600,000 tons of coal and 350,000 tons of fuel oil by October 1.
It was noted that gas pressure is low and losses are high in several neighborhoods. Plans are in place to transition the gas supply for households in these areas from a three-stage to a two-stage system.
Moreover, 163,000 tons of liquefied gas were ordered for delivery to consumers between October and December. Regional governors were instructed to stockpile coal, liquefied gas, and essential food supplies for over 300 remote communities.
To ensure reliable heat and drinking water supplies during the autumn-winter season, tasks include improving boiler rooms, boilers, and heat networks, as well as repairing water networks and pumps.
In summary, Ministry of Energy leaders were assigned to oversee the regions to ensure a problem-free autumn-winter season.
These supervisors are tasked with organizing on-site work and promptly resolving any malfunctions or accidents.
