Man fatally stabbed his mother-in-law and father-in-law who intervened in a family dispute

In the Payariq district of Samarkand region, a man visited his wife's home and killed both his 62-year-old father-in-law and 60-year-old mother-in-law. The General Prosecutor's Office of Uzbekistan reported this incident.
The tragic event occurred on June 10 at around noon.
J.M., born in 1988, went to the residence of his father-in-law, R.J., in Bektopi village, "Nakurt" neighborhood, Payariq district. There, he had an argument with his wife, Z.A., over family matters. During the altercation, his mother-in-law, N.J., and father-in-law, R.J., intervened. In the ensuing conflict, J.M. used a kitchen knife to inflict multiple stab wounds on his mother-in-law (born in 1964) and then on his father-in-law (born in 1962). Both succumbed to their severe injuries at the scene.
As a result of this incident, J.M. faces charges under clauses "a" and "j" of Article 97 (Intentional Murder) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
J.M. has been detained as a suspect under Article 221 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
