Contract payment deadline was announced

Starting from the 2024/2025 academic year, the deadline for contract payments has been announced for applicants recommended for studentships and students studying at state higher education institutions in Uzbekistan on a fee-contract basis. This was reported by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation.

It has been noted that at least 25 percent of the specified payment amount is due for applicants recommended for studentships by September 15, 2024, or by the deadline set by the State Commission for Admission to Educational Organizations of the Republic of Uzbekistan. For second-year and higher students, at least 25 percent of the payment must be made by September 1, 2024, with the option to extend the payment deadline until October or the period extended by the rector (director) of the higher education institution.

Additionally, it is mandatory to pay at least 50% of the specified amount by January 1, 2025, 75% by March 1, 2025, and 100% by May 1, 2025, or until the period is extended by the rector (director) of the higher education institution.

"In this regard, this order is recommendatory for state higher education institutions that have been granted financial independence," the report states.
