30177According to a decree from the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Komil Ismoilovich Allamjonov has been released from his position as the head of the Information Policy Department of the Presidential Administration due to his transfer to another role. This announcement was made by the President's press secretary, Sherzod Asadov.
"As a professional, Komil Allamjonov has achieved significant results in implementing the priority tasks set by President Sh.M. Mirziyoyev regarding the development of freedom of speech in our country, ensuring transparency in the activities of state bodies, and improving the public education system," Asadov stated.
He further expressed appreciation for Allamjonov’s professional skills, wishing him success in his future endeavors.
For context, Komil Allamjonov is among the youngest officials in the country's political landscape. Born on September 18, 1984, in Tashkent, he began his career with the informative program "Davr" at the National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan, specifically on the "Yoshlar" television and radio channel.
Allamjonov gained prominence during his tenure as the head of the Press Service of the State Tax Committee from 2005 to 2013. From December 1, 2017, to October 3, 2018, he served as the Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and as the press secretary to the President.
On November 29, 2018, he was appointed as the director of the Information and Mass Communications Agency. He left this position in January 2020 to become the chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Public Fund for the Support and Development of National Mass Media. In July 2022, Allamjonov was appointed as the Deputy Head of the Administration of the President, and in August 2023, he became the head of the Information Policy Department, a role he held until his recent release.
