5946Khudoyor Meliev, Uzbekistan’s Deputy Minister of Justice, has stepped down from his position. While no official announcement has been made, his profile has been removed from the ministry’s official website.
Born in 1980 in Samarkand region, Meliev has held various roles within the Ministry of Justice throughout his career. Notably, he served as the head of the Legislative Department before being appointed Deputy Minister of Justice in 2019.
The reasons behind Meliev’s departure remain unclear, as no formal explanation has been provided.
It is worth noting that earlier, Shavkat Rahmonov, the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and Head of the Operational-Search Department, was also relieved of his duties.
