Startup projects in Uzbekistan with the potential to enter foreign markets will be eligible for financial support of up to 2 billion sums, according to a Presidential Decree adopted on February 14. The decree, titled “On measures to improve the system of supporting business projects aimed at ensuring youth entrepreneurship and their employment,” outlines the financial incentives provided by the Venture Fund.

The Venture Fund will allocate up to 2 billion sums to startup projects that have successfully completed incubation or acceleration programs and have been recognized in prestigious startup competitions. The funding will be provided in the following categories:
- Up to 500 million sums for startup projects developing a prototype model with high potential for future success.
- Up to 1 billion sums for startup projects that have successfully entered the Uzbek market.
- Up to 2 billion sums for startup projects poised to enter foreign markets.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry, along with local governments, will be responsible for assisting the development of these business projects. They are also tasked with submitting quarterly proposals to the Venture Fund to finance high-value-added business initiatives.

Previously, it was announced that a State Trust Fund for the Development of Youth Entrepreneurship would be established in Uzbekistan, with its capital increased to the equivalent of 100 million US dollars from designated sources.
