An employee of “Khalq Bank” was robbed of 3.8 billion soms

The State Security Service found that more than 3.8 billion soms were looted in the Khovos branch of “Khalq Bank” This was reported by the Press Service of Davlar Security Service.

It is noted that the employees of the Davlar security service department for the Syrdarya region, in cooperation with the specialists of the Internal Audit and Internal Control and Compliance Departments of the joint-stock commercial “Khalq Bank”, discovered an illegal situation in the bank’s Khavos branch in the Syrdarya region.

During the years 2020-2023, a total of 3 billion 828 million 400 thousand soms of budget funds were looted by issuing forged documents and/or without issuing any documents and using false information.  .

“In relation to the situation, a criminal case has been initiated by the Department of the State Security Service for the Syrdarya region under Article 167 of the Criminal Code (embezzlement or robbery through fraud), and the Khavos branch of the bank is responsible. “A precautionary measure of detention was applied to the employee,” the report said.
