A significant 'cleansing' operation is underway in the Tashkent region. According to reports from the regional IIBB, several individuals associated with criminal groups, aiming to disrupt the social order, have been apprehended as part of the 'Dolzarb 40 kun' (Urgent 40 days) special preventive measures, mirroring actions taken across the Republic.

Special services and law enforcement agencies conducted raids resulting in the arrest of 34 individuals linked to a criminal organization in the Tashkent region. Criminal cases have been initiated against 11 of them, while 23 were detained through administrative procedures.

During these operations, it was discovered that these individuals were in possession of 13 illegally stored pneumatic and hunting weapons, various types of ammunition, electroshock devices, knives of varying sizes and shapes, as well as kettes and bits.

Moreover, more than 50 cases related to combating drug addiction were unveiled, leading to the confiscation of 11 kilograms of narcotics and 8,703 psychotropic drugs that were circulating illegally.

Furthermore, 64 individuals who were wanted for committing crimes and evading court and investigative proceedings were captured through swift search efforts, thereby upholding the rule of law. Additionally, 2 missing citizens were located and reunited with their families.

It's worth noting that previously, 47 members of a criminal group were apprehended in the Samarkand region.
