3478An individual residing in Qoqon was apprehended while attempting to transport a significant quantity of foreign-produced drugs to Tashkent for distribution. This information was disclosed by Aziz Obidov, the spokesperson for the Oliy Sud.
During the operation, law enforcement confiscated 392 million soums worth of 25 different types of pharmaceuticals lacking proper documentation as evidence.
A resident of Qoqon, identified as A.A., acquired a substantial quantity of foreign-produced pharmaceuticals from their acquaintance, F.M., and stored them in their residence.
During a prompt intervention led by customs officials from the Safety Service of the State and the Fergana region, a truck driven by M.J. was intercepted and inspected en route to the capital via the "Qoqon-Tashkent" highway passing through Chagali village in the Dangara district.
Subsequently, 10,000 units of "Metrogil 100 ml" pharmaceuticals, belonging to A.A. and lacking documentation, were discovered in the truck and seized as physical evidence. Additionally, during the operation, the foreign-produced drugs stored in A.A.'s residence were uncovered, and relevant documentation was processed.
It was revealed that 23 types of drugs confiscated lacked registration in the state register, lacked compliance certificates, and were not stored under appropriate conditions. Furthermore, a determination was made regarding the prohibition of the sale, transport, and use of these drugs in medical practices.
"A.A. was sentenced to six years and two months of imprisonment by the Dangara district court for criminal offenses and was immediately remanded into custody," the report stated.
