11303Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan prepared a draft agreement on the joint demarcation of the state border between the countries. Aybek Smadiyarov, the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, provided information about this yesterday, 21 November.
He noted that a meeting of delegation was held in Tashkent on 14-19 November, 2022. This was the 100th meeting of the government delegations of the republics within the Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan joint demarcation commission.
"The parties to sign the draft agreement between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Uzbekistan on the demarcation of the Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan state border and the draft final documents on border demarcation attached to the above agreement prepared. The parties also signed the final protocol on the activities of the Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan joint demarcation commission," he said.
According to him, the negotiations took place in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding.
"The draft of the agreement between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Uzbekistan on the demarcation of the state border and the draft of the final documents on the demarcation of the border is attached to this document. That is, in this way, the two sides have prepared an agreement, according to which our border with Uzbekistan will be determined," said the official representative of Kazakhstan's foreign policy agencies.
Let us remind you that on 17 November of this year, the Kyrgyz Parliament, and on 18 November, the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, approved the "Separate section of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz state border between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Kyrgyz Republic. "On the ratification of the agreement on plots of land (Bishkek, 3 November 2022)" and between the government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic on the joint management of water resources of the Andijan (Kampirabod) reservoir (Bishkek, 3 November 2022) ratified the documents.
According to this, the rest of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz border will be delimited, and the Andijan (Kampirabod) reservoir will be transferred to Uzbekistan.
