Kazakhstan opens seaport to Uzbekistan

22053The management of the Kazakh seaport Aktau expressed its readiness to accept applications from Uzbek companies for the transportation of goods. This is reported by the news agency “Dunyo” (world).
It was noted that there was a meeting between the General Consul of Uzbekistan in Aktau Otabek Tursunbekov and the Chairman of the Board of the National Company «Aktau Sea Trade Port» Abay Turikpenbayev.
At the meeting, the issue of the transportation of Uzbek products abroad, whether near or far, through the port of Aktau, were discussed.
For reference, Aktau Seaport is located on the eastern shore of the Caspian Sea, at the intersection of several international transport corridors transporting dry cargo, crude oil and petroleum products from east to west, from north to south and further. The port works 12 months a year and 24 hours a day. Sea corridors are divided into the sea zones of Iran, Turkey, Russia, Azerbaijan, and Turkmenistan.
