Fraudster who swindled 19 people in cattle-selling scheme was sentenced 

A fraudster who deceived 19 people with a cattle-selling scheme was sentenced to seven years in prison in the Surkhandarya region. This information was confirmed by Aziz Obidov, spokesperson for the Supreme Court.

According to reports, the accused had convinced an acquaintance to invest in a cattle purchase venture, promising to share the profits. Over several months, he collected a total of 91.8 million soums from this individual, but neither the cattle nor the money was returned.

When the victim realized the financial loss, he reported it to law enforcement. Further investigation revealed that the accused had misappropriated funds from a total of 19 people, amounting to 460 million soums, using the money for personal expenses.

The Termiz District Criminal Court found him guilty under Article 168, Part 3, Clause “b” of the Criminal Code (Fraud), sentencing him to seven years in prison.
