The amount of privilege for transportation of raw materials for Karakalpak entrepreneurs will be increased

Entrepreneurs of Karakalpakstan will be reimbursed 70 percent of the costs of transportation of raw materials purchased for the production of export products.  President Shavkat Mirziyoyev mentioned this on 26 August, at the following extraordinary session of the Supreme Council of Karakalpakstan.

In order to increase the number of industrial projects in Karakalpakstan, officials should:

• establish a support center for investors, providing Karakalpak businessmen with free services in developing project documents, obtaining subsidies, loans, and compensation, and helping to find a market for their products;

• establish an Industrial Technology Park on 10 hectares of land in Nukus under the support center for investors;

• organizing youth’s industrial and entrepreneurship zones in Kegeyli and Khodjayli districts;

• for five years, setting up a system of reimbursement for the entrepreneurs of Karakalpakstan of 70 percent of transport costs for the raw materials purchased for the production of export products, transportation across the country, and other assignments.

The Head of State supported major projects such as copper production in Karaozak, the construction of new caustic soda, and other chemical production plants in Kungirot.

It should be noted that during the extraordinary session of the Supreme Council, the Speaker of the Parliament Murat Kamalov was relieved of his post.  Amanbay Tleubayevich Orinbayev, the first deputy of the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan for issues of ecology and development of the island regions, was nominated in his post.
