Earthquake in Kyrgyzstan felt in parts of Uzbekistan

On May 20 at 20:07 Tashkent time, a 3.4-magnitude earthquake struck the territory of Kyrgyzstan. The event was reported by the Republican Center for Seismological Monitoring.

According to the report, the earthquake's epicenter was located 283 kilometers southeast of Tashkent, in the Jalal-Abad region of the Kyrgyz Republic. The quake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers and had an intensity of 4 points at the epicenter. The coordinates of the epicenter were 41.19 degrees north latitude and 72.6 degrees east longitude.

In Uzbekistan, the tremors were felt in the Pakhtaabad district of the Andijan region, where the intensity measured 2 points on the seismic scale. The district is situated approximately 29 kilometers from the epicenter.

It should be noted that earlier, a 3.1-magnitude earthquake was recorded in the Namangan and Andijan regions.
