Kyrgyzstan proposes Uzbekistan create joint tourism products

The President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov suggested to the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev the creation of joint tourism products for the development of winter and spiritual tourism.  This proposal was discussed during the state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Kyrgyzstan in extended format meetings.  This was reported by the "24kg".

The issues of reconstruction of railways on the agenda within the country and their attachment to transcontinental highways were discussed.  In this regard, the relevance of the plans for the joint construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway was pointed out.

"In the conditions of the modern world order, it is important to make efforts to integrate the transport and logistics infrastructure of the Central Asian countries into the global transport hubs and corridors," - the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadir Japarov said.

In correspondence with his statement, the Kyrgyz Republic is working on improving highways of international importance.  He also drew attention to the growing popularity of cross-border tourism in the region.

"For this reason, I propose to create joint tourism products for the development of recreation areas (Issikkol, Jalalabad), as well as winter (Chunkurchak, Karakol) and spiritual tourism (Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva).  The Kyrgyz side plans to organize joint expeditions to study the prospects of new tourist destinations, implement joint initiatives such as a single visa, and create joint tourism products along the modern Great Silk Road, and geological parks and considers it important to develop cooperation in the field of creation," - Kyrgyz President Japarov says.
