Regions that spent the most on construction revealed

It was revealed which region in Uzbekistan spent the most on construction from January to August 2025. This was reported by the National Statistics Committee.
According to the data, a total of 188.5 trillion soums worth of construction work was completed across the country in the first eight months of 2025, marking an 11.5 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024. The city of Tashkent spent the largest amount on construction, 56.2 trillion soums, while the smallest figure was recorded in the Syrdarya region, 3.6 trillion soums.
The indicators for other regions are as follows:
- Tashkent region — 21.4 trillion soums;
- Bukhara region — 12 trillion soums;
- Samarkand region — 11.5 trillion soums;
- Fergana region — 11.5 trillion soums;
- Kashkadarya region — 10.7 trillion soums;
- Surkhandarya region — 9.5 trillion soums;
- Namangan region — 8.8 trillion soums;
- Andijan region — 8.6 trillion soums;
- Navoi region — 7.9 trillion soums;
- Khorezm region — 7.8 trillion soums;
- Republic of Karakalpakstan — 6.4 trillion soums;
- Jizzakh region — 5.1 trillion soums.
It is worth noting that earlier, construction work had been completely halted on 59 sites in Tashkent city due to the absence of full documentation packages.
