A twenty-day-old baby was found in an abandoned bag in Kashkadarya

The regional DIA information service reported that a baby was found discarded in a bag beneath the stairs of a hospital in Kashkadarya.

On March 21st of this year, as per the information received by the DIA duty unit of the department coordinating the activities of the DIA No. 4 in Karshi city, an unidentified individual left a baby at the bottom of the stairs leading to the second floor of the traumatology department at the Kashkadarya regional multidisciplinary medical center. Investigators examined the scene.

The baby, examined medically, was determined to be twenty days old. Currently, the infant's overall health is satisfactory, with no signs of physical harm detected.

Presently, the baby is under care at a regional orphanage in Kitob district, reported to be in good health.

The report states, "Investigations are presently underway by the Investigative Department of the Karshi city DIA under the Department Coordinating Activities, pending further developments.”
