The bride is beaten by her husband and relatives in Kashkadarya and her hair is cut

Reports have spread on social media that a bride was tied up and severely beaten by her husband and relatives in the Kashkadarya region.  This situation was commented on by the Department of Internal Affairs of the region.

It is noted that on 9 July, at about 23:30pm citizens Yu. E, Yu. B, Yu. R and Yu. X, living in the neighborhood citizen’s gathering “Yangikhayot” of Yakkabog district were furious knowing that the bride Q.M. had a romantic relationship with the citizen, Yu. X, so they tied her feet and legs, cut off her hair, beat her with their hands and feet, whipped her, tortured her, and inflicted physical pain.

As a result, Q.M. was injured and admitted to the hospital of the Yakkabog district Medical Association.

In connection with this situation, the investigative unit of the Department of Internal Affairs of Yakkabog district initiated criminal proceedings against the citizens Yu. E, Yu.B., under article 138, paragraph 2 and part “a” of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.  An investigation is underway.
