The head of the Kashkadarya Region Department of the Cadastre Agency, operating under the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, has been issued a fine. This development was confirmed by the Business Ombudsman, according to a report received by KALAMPIR.UZ.
The incident unfolded when the branch of the Business Ombudsman in the Kashkadarya region submitted a formal request letter on October 27, 2022, to the Kashkadarya regional office of the Cadastre Agency. The objective was to obtain information on administrative cases pertaining to various business entities. However, regrettably, the administration chose to ignore this request.
Consequently, due to the failure of the department to comply with legal obligations, an administrative report was issued against the head of the Kashkadarya Region Department of the Cadastre Agency. The report was filed under Article 1973 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility and subsequently presented to the court for review.
Following the court proceedings, the head of the department was fined as per the decision handed down by the Karshi city court.
It is worth noting that officials responsible for safeguarding the rights and legal interests of business entities, as designated under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, are obligated to address appeals, conclusions, submissions, and petitions within the specified timelines. Failure to do so without valid justification or knowingly providing false information can result in fines ranging from three to seven times the base calculation.
