Individual Arrested in Kashkadarya for Manufacturing Homemade Weapon

A person involved in the production and sale of counterfeit weapons has been apprehended in Kashkadarya, as reported by the Press Service of the Investigation Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to the report, on the 25th of April of this year, a 32-year-old individual residing in Qamashi district struck a deal with a customer to sell a handmade weapon.
The seller disclosed the location where the weapon was concealed. Acting upon this information, the operational team conducted a search at the specified address and discovered a homemade firearm of 16-caliber, along with four cartridges. The weapon-maker was apprehended while receiving the agreed-upon payment of 19 million soms and 100 dollars.
Consequently, a criminal case has been initiated against the offender under Article 248 of the Criminal Code, which pertains to the illegal possession and handling of firearms, ammunition, explosives, and illegal substances. Simultaneously, the ongoing investigation is underway to gather more evidence and information surrounding the case.
