School principal punished for organizing fee collection for uniform in Kashkadarya (video)

A video circulated on social media showed the director of secondary school No. 23 in Karshi city, F.Sh., allegedly organizing the collection of money for student uniforms. The Kashkadarya Regional Department of Preschool and School Education's press service addressed the situation.

The regional department conducted an investigation and confirmed that school principal F.Sh. indeed made a video appeal on the school's Telegram group on January 21st of this year. In the video, they instructed school teachers to purchase "jackets" for all students. As a consequence, principal F.Sh. was fined 25% of their average monthly salary according to a relevant order issued by the department head on January 22nd.

The school staff received a briefing to prevent similar situations in the future, and explanatory letters were obtained from the school's class teachers.

"The collection and organization of funds for mandatory student uniforms in educational institutions are strictly prohibited. The Kashkadarya Regional Department of Preschool and School Education strongly condemns such practices," the statement emphasized.

It's worth noting that a disciplinary measure of a warning was imposed on a MMTB employee who forcibly sold tickets to employees of schools and state preschool educational institutions in the Namangan district of the Namangan region.
